The Uganda Drilling Contractors' Association was incorporated in 2016 as a limited by guarantee non-profit making entity.
The association was set up to strengthen the drilling industry in Uganda by promoting professional drilling standards, build capacity of and awareness with the members and other stakeholders and by reviewing the policies, laws, regulations, procedures and drilling standards.
All the members of UDCA have signed a code of conduct and are committed to operate according to the code of conduct.
The main aim of the UDCA is to contribute to the creation of a conducive and fair environment for both the drillers and the beneficiaries of the boreholes in Uganda.
